Rover T16 & M16

In a sportscar this engine has similar limitations as the Zetec, i.e it is a little flat and unresponsive especially in the low - mid-range. Therefore we have developed a similar package as Option 1 for the Zetec (see Zetec for details)

Option I

  1. Powerboost adjustable fuel pressure regulator kit - £300 fitted and set up.
  2. ITG Performance air filter£50 fitted
  3. Catalyst replacement link pipe £75 fitted, or performance catalyst£350 fitted

Even more so than the Zetec this livens up responsiveness and increase BHP and torque through the rev-range.

Option II

New cams and ECU with or without stainless performance exhaust manifold.
Standard cams are very mild and the ECU is set up for economy and emissions in a Rover 820 Saloon! These are the main reasons why the engine is unresponsive in the mid range and not free-revving.
Includes:

  1. Both cams re-ground to a Fastroad profile
  2. Standard ECU replaced with an Omex 600 programmable ECU
  3. ITG airfilter
  4. Optional stainless steel 4 into 1 manifold (especially for competition use)

Gives a genuine 160 BHP (standard 127 BHP), increased torque across the rev-range and is a free-revving, responsive engine totally different in character (and quick!)

Option III - T 16 Low Pressure Turbo Conversion

We have developed a Low Pressure Turbo for the T16 similar to our L.P.T Zetec. This uses the standard T16 engine and compression ratio. Produces approx 195 lbs/ft torque at 3500 revs and 190BHP. Smooth, progressive +8 performance with no lag and good fuel economy. £4950+VAT fitted.
